The purpose of Psychological Evaluation is to

find answers to seek appropriate intervention

About Me

I am Board Certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. I am licensed in the State of Texas as a Psychologist and Licensed Psychologist in school Psychologist.  I have spent over 25 years working with children, adolescents, and their families. I worked 16 years in a local school district as the Licensed Specialist in School Psychology as well as the Director of Evaluation and Compliance. From 2011-2017, I was the Director of the Psychology Department at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. I left the hospital to focus on my specialty of psychological evaluation.

Clinically, my areas of interest include autism spectrum evaluation, cognitive evaluation, educational evaluation, ADHD, and mood disorder evaluation.  Young children are my favorite age group, but I have experience working with all ages. I continue to work with local school districts with different types of evaluations for their students. In the forensic field, I complete court-involved psychological and psycho-educational evaluations as well as child custody and adoption evaluations. I am available for educational consultation services as well.

Please see my curriculum vitae at the link below.

Specialized clinical and forensic evaluations that target psychosocial, emotional, developmental,

or behavioral concerns:

Psychological Evaluations

Psychological evaluations can be beneficial in determining the presence of a mood disorder, such as anxiety or depression, or an adjustment or attachment disorder. These evaluations involve gathering information from validated psychological tests, clinical interview, review of records, consultation with other professionals involved and direct observation.

Cognitive -

Cognitive evaluations for children, adolescents include Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scales of Intelligence (WPPSI-IV) or the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V).  I can evaluate children as young as 4 years of age with the WPPSI-IV.

Developmental evaluations can be completed with children as young as 1 year old with the Cognitive Assessment of Young Children (CAYC).

Adult cognitive evaluations are also available by using the Wechsler Adult Intellectual Scale (WAIS-IV).

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Whether it is an initial diagnosis or a second opinion, I can offer a full evaluation including cognitive, educational, adaptive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning. I am trained in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). Children as young as 18 months can be assessed with this instrument. In addition to the ADOS-2, other measures may be used as well as a parent and/or child interview and observation.  Data may be gathered from several sources or environments.
